Instructions to download:

There are two different download files to choose from when downloading the FMS software in step 3.

The first file (fmsdb1.zip), includes the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC 2.5) and is 11.3Mb.

The second file (fmsdb2.zip), does not include the components and is only 3.7Mb.

Please choose the appropriate file for your system. If you are not sure which one to download, then choose the first file (fmsdb1.zip).

Note: If you already have the components installed on your computer, choose the second file (fmsdb2.zip). If you are not sure if you have the components installed, download the Component Checker Tool, which will determine the version that is installed on your computer.

Download may take several minutes, if you have trouble downloading please email us.

1. Print these instructions and have them with you while you install the software.

2. Create a temporary folder (C:\TEMP) on your hard drive.

3. Download one of the following files to a temporary location on your hard drive (C:\Temp).
   
   Please choose only one file:
   
   1) fmsdb1.zip (11.3 Mb includes the MDAC 2.5 RTM)
   
   2) fmsdb2.zip (3.7 Mb)

4. Unzip the installation files to the same directory.

5. Navigate to "C:\Temp" directory using your Windows Explorer.

6. Double click on Setup.exe (in C:\Temp) to install.

7. Follow the Installation Wizard to complete the installation process.  Use the default directory "C:\Program Files\Fmsdb" for the location, Select the "Default" install.

8. To open and run File Management Software, select "Start" from your computer task bar, select "Programs", then select the "File Management System".
